About the Author

Andrew Killeen was born in Birmingham, and studied English Literature at Corpus Christi College Cambridge. He has taught creative writing in a number of settings, including Coventry University, Newman University, and the Midland Arts Centre. He founded and was the first Director of the Pow-Wow Festival of Writing, the only UK literary festival to be held in a pub garden, now in its fifth year. In 2012 he was Writer in Residence at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, in 2015 he was Reader in Residence at Stoke-on-Trent Libraries, and in 2017 will be undertaking a four week residency at the Ventspils International Writers’ and Translators’ House in Latvia.

He is currently living and working in China, where he is a Contributing Editor at beijingkids, writes a regular column for The Beijinger and runs the Beijing Writers’ Network.
